Beloved
Saturday, January 16, 2010 By Maryam
I dance, I am a woman;
I sing, I have a soul;
I spread flowers over our encounter,
and let them fall
over our hearts...
I give you the cup of wine
in whispers
and in sounds of happiness,
in love poems,
and songs that come from heaven.
I sip from this Love
with tears in my eyes,
babbling the name
of the All-Nothing that sees us, with a smile.
We both are looking for the same;
searching, always searching;
and even if we see...
We still prefer to wonder.
Under the stars I find the Beloved
through my earthly beloved.
You feel paradise
through this love that becomes LOVE.
We are children, we are joy,
we are starting to live the real void
reaching ladders and wings and lights
upon us.
Beloved, you take me to The BELOVED.

A child’s song: Paradise
Sunday, January 03, 2010 By Maryam
Slowly I start listening
to the sounds inside…
Sounds that grow like seeds grow and become flowers…
I feel paradise has been created from our own hands, hands of labour, hands of love, hands caressing in whispers the gentle tears from the suffering world.
It has been erased… the sorrow, the fear and light is upon everything, shinning a bright star upon us, inside us, laughter brightening the trees, the seas, the first prayer, the last worries.
You see we can do it? Do you feel it? Do you smell the perfume of Love?Paradise here is what I pursue, on this earth that I embrace, kiss and see also below my feet, this prayer that makes me feel the humblest of Princesses…
You have started making it possible… our Paradise, our encounter with the ocean, with the millions of happy tears. United, sheltered, and ready for the biggest adventure: Love.
Looking behind there are stones you left by,
your feet are soar, you feel hungry, and tired.
But inside your heart there is a feast!
Names that in your dreams become un-named names, sounds, echoes, evidences, just for you, children of Love.
Do you need to expect and work for the paradise far away if you don’t try it Here?
What is then the purpose for all we do? I cannot want the best for me, if you do not reach Paradise on Earth.

Caressing me in a whisper,
sounds that I could never hear
or feel.
Nights of thousands stars, brilliant as the Jewel I see from space,
all of them reunited,
in the glimpse of a second,
an image I could never forget….
The calmness came to life,
after the shadows dancing,
YOU embraced my destiny.
Over mountains of silver and sand,
of gold and fresh honey,
I hear the whisper again.
And you Are, the above and beyond,
the last ladder of myriads of ladders,
this child who became a man child
without sorrow, again happy,
again filled with the Truth
and without solitude anymore.
And YOU, whom I thank endlessly
for you took this child and drove him to the Love
Forever
In Eternity.

Unforgettable
Tuesday, August 26, 2008 By Maryam

Open these gates,
with sweet tears.
Don't forget to sing
to the Adored
while they flow;
as the sweetest honey,
your tears become
the nectar of the ocean
It is is a simple song of Love
it touches your heart
and the hidden words
become a river
in your soul.
Let it flow,
sweetly,
let the memories
of past mistakes
be caressed by your own river,
a river of Love
that only asks for forgiveness.
When the Beloved is attained,
we see what is past
as a new beginning.
We see what will come
as what we have lived.
I had a guide.
He still is.
He does not know
how much inspiration
he brings
to this soul
that never forgot to flow
like a river
until an ocean
where the meaning of Love
cannot be comprehended by any word
or any thought.
It is the soul,
the biggest soul,
so distant from our conceptions,
so high and so true,
that takes our hand
to reach the stars.
In those stars
I still see this guide's eyes,
full of joy,
tears of joy,
songs of joy,
all in my hand.

Dreams
Saturday, November 24, 2007 By Maryam

I want to loose myself in this unknown path
Follow the footsteps,
Reach the dream
I want to feel,
Vibrate with emotion,
And allow myself to be taken by the wind,
The ocean,
Never forgetting I am lost in nothingness,
In everything,
In this life that breathes life
Through roads un-named,
Where questions cease to exist
Where there are no doubts and no expectations,
And nothing succumbs to depression.
To know that I do not know where I am,
Yet I am, I exist, I survive within my own dream.
I want to know that hands throw kisses of love,
Without discriminating who they reach.
Sprinkle the stars with tenderness
And slide along the sparkle of their eyes.
I want to wait, and wake, and feel in that moment
As if it would never happen
As if, still a little girls,
I suddenly came to know the meaning of everything
Without even knowing how to read
The more I know, the further I am from discovering
the true way of “knowin”, observing, meditating,
and throwing myself into the great vacuum of the Everything.

Slowly,
intermingled,
the words come alive.
The light of my dreams,
tender paths to wisdom.
And the Voice comes between
these words, these half smiles,
a fountain filled with talismans.
And it is true that one learns
what he less expected to learn.
Always slowly and in a torrent
of calm, of infinite soul motion
of whispers without lips
that gently opens the door.
Once a Sufi master told me
"not to be afraid to love".
And now, that I am fearless
I would so much prefer to learn how to feel
This Love of Yours
all by myself
without any book, any word
other than Yours
in my dreams.
To be afraid to walk
before all this wonder
that is a maze with one exit.
An exit that leads to the Unknown Known.
Oh, You,
Pillow of secrets
forever, eternally kept so close
that it is hard to discern them
without a lens called Pure Heart!

Approaching the essence,
I do not want to taste it
Encircling Your pupils,
I do not want to be seen.
I want to hide, to enter inside a temple
that has no memory of the past
I want to start anew
to feel the surprise
of the roses in the morning spring
I want to lessen the sounds of my own being
to hear the music of the glory of birds
Discover the first drop of love,
as if it was again a secret.
To close the door which brilliance
enlightened my thirsty soul.
I want to feel lost again,
and smile at the first rain
on a desert land
that I had asked for
just because.
I want to long for You
Always

My heart cannot comprehend where I am
Or where I think I am
I ask to myself and then the answer comes so clear
Struggle.
The shining stars remind me of the rain that doesn't fall
Like the stars I watch the tiniest particle of our home without doors
where the wind trespasses our soul and tries to take it away with it.
What sort of home did we built?
sacred blood? sacred hate?
How could this be?
Looking down, forgetting the stars, there is a big well
where the eyes are searching for what is pure
to feed the empty souls to then make it disappear again
being hungrier
thirst that never ends.
I long for my heart then
but not alone
I hear the murmurs weeping and flowing upwards
melting with the moon
melting with the stars
Again the hearts convey to talk
and see
what others don't want to let us see
The Immensity of Love
that we could give
to stop the imbalance of our precious nature
taken away, so far....
that at times we feel we are gone forever from it.
Our hands can stop a grenade to fall down
but our Love can stop the well to continue pulling us down

Truth,
the immensity of oneness
the level of anything
the incommensurable path
that I perceived
through old and vast corridors.
The perfume of freedom
The labor of life
and love
and death/
It was suddenly
that the name became more audible in my heart;
it became the words of a song that i always sing
especially when I dream.
Then it becomes like a fountain, a waterfall, a heavy rain
that sweeps my tears.
And it was like a figure, bowing, pleasing
that whispered Your Name again
or anew
But in any case,
I love to remember
the patient times
and the suffering.
They brought me an endless heaven to see
on the nights and days of songs filled with that name.
And now time only shows rivers drawing lines, hearts becoming more loving
enduring the human's creations
and the years that one day will never be.

Dream
Wednesday, February 02, 2005 By Maryam
I became still.
Under an unexpected view.
After the repeateadly calls.
Uncounciously I came to see what You did.
I became still,
because I thought I was going to fall;
because, You, the Greatest Artist,
had made me think I was lost in dream;
suddenly I thought I was dreaming,
my sleepness became awareness,
the surrealistic was touchable and real.
And I was afraid like a child,
afraid of such beauty, afraid of such colors.
I remember that I cried,
and thanked,
weeping.
Colors that only dreams can show
were there, mixed with my falling tears.
Mixed with emotion, mixed with You.
I felt the void and felt it was happening.
It lasted a few seconds, eternal in my memory.
I felt that was You, suddenly, without avert.
I had not call You. Or did I?
The most beautiful painting seemed to me a dream
but I was so awake that I failed to believe.
So in our dreams we believe what we see,
we don't say no, we accept them,
make part of them,
suffer in them and enjoy them.
But that time it was different.
I saw what I saw,
the sleep had gone
and the dream came true.

A sufi song of Love
Tuesday, November 23, 2004 By Maryam
This is myself, he said, I am a lute.
Her hands caressed with trembling fingers the cords that agonized.
Slowly, some aerial petals of sounds came from the inside and sounded upwards,
like velvet.
"This is my song", he said,
"the song of my last moment in her hands.
Yet she doesn't know that I am going to die."
Die... for what? What reason can you have to die
when you are in such caring hands...?
"Die... to live at last, because she gave me what I need;
she gave me breath, and gave me love;
she gave me a poem through her hands.
Die... because I live imprisoned inside this cage...
Die... because this is what I have always desired in truth."
Die..., because you are unhappy? Die..., because life is not the truth?
"Oh my child... when a song becomes perfection,
and perfection brings up angels,
and angels whisper words
that only a song can understand...
I realize the moment came, and that I am not yet ready for it,
or I am and I don't know it,
or knowing it, I am not.
Her hands are the wind embracing my soul;
her fingers what push me away from myself.
She is the bird that tells me there is freedom;
my song is not mine then: but it's hers."
She stopped for a moment. The cords didn't give a single sound.
She tried again and again, and surprised, looked into the silent lute.
Only wood was in her hands. The soul had gone.
The prison was destroyed.
And freedom took its path.

The darkest night
Wednesday, November 10, 2004 By Maryam
Tonight maybe,
Tonight is coming filled with tears,
The sun is a handkerchief
but it doesn't stop what I feel.
And I understand how it is,
that something without proper light
something dark, needing light to be seen
is more powerful than a thousand candles;
again,
so clear,
again,
it comes little by little.
The calendar that has loosing days
the sun REGIS ...
does it, in truth?
Could it be that what is straight for our understanding,
would be taken as a childish play in The Unseen?
Our logic, the making of straight decissions, date calendars
for our benefit
maybe is not what we think.
Others are losing the moons and the stars
for the sake of the sun.
I don't know, but I feel
I feel it could happen tonight.
And I want to wait, second by second,
like another theory of relativity, another evidence.
The one that walks on my face, candle flame of warming smiles.
Veils falling down, eyes wide open,
those of my heart,
those of my very own eyes.
To see, feel, touch, smell, hear
without turning my mind out from The Seen.
You are also Here.
And not just in The Unseen.
Tenderly, something becomes a moving heart inside my heart.
A dancing soul embraced to mine.
I discover the night of darkness
the most brilliant night.

Feeling
Saturday, October 23, 2004 By Maryam

Like a ladder.
It is never the same, and I have to smile when it happens.
I always discover new feelings and new sensations.
Somehow You make me more evident within myself.
When I finish my prayer ,
I feel that I have met myself again,
this time more deeply.
I count on me more and know me more.
There is only one reason to live this passionate love,
and it is the awareness that I am in You
and I am an entity as well.
Not only I pray Your countless names,
but I am also "in love" with those names,
and "in love" with my inner self,
the soul that thanks to You
has every Ramadan clearer shades and colors,
discovers new and unexpected joys and wonders.
Smiles when aware of realities that come from the Unseen.
You make me more attached to my source,
and more humble and stronger every time.
When a king receives his servant,
it will always happen that the servant
will make the king feel how much he is a king,
how powerful he is,
just by lowering his eyes.
Never the king will make his servant
feel like another king.
But when I pray, I feel that You make me feel
like a humble princess,
that I am not just someone who lowers her eyes
and forgets her own existence.
I feel that a strong power is giving a power to me,
through the prayer,
a power to love justice,
to love freedom
and to be myself more evident
in front of the eyes of my own soul.
This is why I feel You so true,
that it's not just a way to be sheltered from our fears, (what fears?),
our solitude, (solitude is not loneliness...)
or need to believe in something or someone.
It is not at all.
It is Your true love,
making us see ourselves like creatures with a purpose.
Great creatures in Your eyes.
How could I feel alone,
when Rabbina puts a mirror to the eyes of my soul?

Thank You
Tuesday, September 28, 2004 By Maryam

The sweetest words to my God,
the bright pupils in the eyes of my soul.
I want to reach You,
yet I feel You take my hand.
I want to honour You,
yet You please my intentions.
I want to deserve You,
yet You show me always a bright way.
I want,
yet You give.
I should have to try seeing You,
but I am not prepared yet.
Even though I feel somehow I am near you,
my God.
Thank You for being here,
or for letting me go to You.

Time
Tuesday, September 28, 2004 By Maryam

The Endless sees everything,
registers everything.
My hands raise up in adoration
towards Allah,
I beg Allah to give me Time;
Time for me to get closer,
Time to give Allah my trembling eyelids within my weeping;
Time to give Allah my tears, my most precious jewels;
Time to see once again my peaceful face, my deep disqueting eyes.
I ask Allah Time to get out from myself and go towards Rabbina
without hurry, without torments.
The Endless that sees everything
and registers everything
has a gathered Time
on a paper that still is being written.
And my fervor makes that Time continues giving more paper
to my heart.
